İsmet Özel'in şiirlerinde romantizmin yansımaları

Abstract

Bu çalışmada İsmet Özel'in şiirlerinde Jean Jacques Rousseau'nun görüşlerinden yola çıkılarak romantizmin yansımaları aranmıştır. Çalışmada romantizm genel hatlarıyla anlatıldıktan sonra özellikle uygarlık, modernizm ve kapitalizm karşıtlığı üzerinde durulup tabiat temine bakılmıştır. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın temelini oluşturan şehir, medeniyet, tabiat ve tekniğin/teknolojinin doğurduğu kapitalizm kavramlarına açıklık kazandırılmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışma üç kısımdan oluşmaktadır. Birinci kısımda; İsmet Özel'in şehir ve medeniyet karşıtlığı şiirlerinde tespit edilip medeni, modern ve barbar kavramları romantizm bağlamında açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. İkinci kısımda; şairin tabiat temine bakışı ve soylu vahşi kavramı, J. J. Rousseau'nun görüşleri altında ele alınmıştır. Son kısım da ise teknik ve teknoloji karşıtlığı bağlamında kapitalizm ve bunlara bir karşı duruş olarak şairin sivil itaatsizliği ifade edilmiştir. Buna göre çalışmanın temelini oluşturan romantizm ve J. J. Rousseau'nun izleri, İsmet Özel'in şiirlerinde saptanmaya çalışılmıştır.

In this study, reflections of romanticism have been searched in İsmet Özel's poems based on Jean Jacques Rousseau's views. In the study, after the romanticism explained in general terms, the nature term has been analyzed, and especially the opposition to civilization, modernism, and capitalism has been emphasized. In this context, the basis of this study has been tried to be clarified, which is the concepts of city, civilization, nature, and technique/technology, and finally, capitalism as an outcome of these terms. The study consists of three parts. In the first part, İsmet Özel's opposition to the city and civilization terms determined in his poems and modern and barbarian terms has been tried to be explained in the context of romanticism. In the second part, the poet's view of the nature term and the concept of the noble savage has been discussed under the views of J. J. Rousseau. In the last part, capitalism, and the poet's civil disobedience as an opposition to these terms have been expressed in the context of technique and technology. Whereas romanticism and J. J. Rousseau's reflections which are this study's base has been tried to be determined in İsmet Özel's poems.
