Bir iş modeli önerisi: Internet tabanlı kitlesel açık ders platformları ve uygulama

Abstract

Bu çalışma, uzaktan eğitim platformlarının son örneklerinden olan İnternet Tabanlı Kitlesel Açık Ders (İKAD) platformlarının kurulum ve işletilmesiyle ilgili güncel örnekler üzerinden uygulanabilir, sürdürülebilir ve minimum maliyetli bir İKAD platform modeli önerilmesini içermektedir. Çalışma sürecinde, bir İKAD platformunda olması gereken temel bileşenler ve uluslararası İKAD platformlarında kullanılan iş modelleri belirlenmiş, belirlenen bileşenlerin yazılımı örnek bir İKAD platformu şeklinde geliştirilerek internet ortamında yayınlanmıştır. Geliştirilen İKAD platformu yazılımı iki ana bileşenden meydana gelmektedir. Bunlardan ilki kullanıcıların derslere kaydolduğu, ders videolarını izlediği, ilgili yükümlülükleri yerine getirdiği, ders forumu yolu ile etkileşimde bulunduğu, ders sürecini takip ettiği ve kişisel bilgilerini girerek kısa bir özgeçmiş oluşturduğu alt modüllerden oluşmaktadır. Diğeri ise derslerin oluşturulduğu, ders içeriklerinin yüklendiği, ders akışının belirlendiği, forumların yönetildiği, kullanıcı istatistiklerinin ve çeşitli raporlamaların yapıldığı yönetim modülüdür. Bu örnek platform uzmanlara sunulmuş ve belirlenen iş modellerinden hangilerinin bu platform için en uygun olacağı konusunda görüş alınmıştır. Veri toplama aşamasında örnek platforma gömülü bir ekran üzerinden mülakat yöntemi tercih edilmiş, akademisyen ve yöneticilerden belirlenen 20 uzmandan belirlenen süre içerisinde 8 tanesinden geri bildirim alınmıştır. Araştırmada minimum maliyetli bir İKAD platformunu için Belgeleme (Sertifikasyon) ve Denklik Sağlama (Akreditasyon), Yazılım Hizmeti ve İçerik Lisanslama, Kariyer Hizmeti ve İşe Alım iş modellerinin uygulanabilir ve sürdürülebilir olacağı tespit edilmiştir.

This research includes proposing a MOOC platform model that would be applicable, sustainable and minimum-cost through the current examples of installation and operation of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) platforms, one of the last examples of distance learning platforms. In the course of research, the main components that should be on an MOOC platform and the business models used in international MOOC platforms were determined, and the software of the determined components was developed as a sample MOOC platform and published on the internet. The software of sample MOOC platform is consist of two main components. The first one is made up of sub components, where users can see the course list, register to courses, watch videos, do tests, have interaction via forums, follow the processes of courses and create a brief CV by entering their personal data. The second one is the admin module, where the courses are created, the content of courses are loaded, the flow of the course is determined, forums are managed, user statistics and various reporting are made. This sample platform has been offered to the experts and their opinions about which business models are the most convenient one for this platform has been taken. During the data collection phase, interview method was preferred via an embedded screen in the sample platform, and 20 experts, were determined from academicians and managers, feedbacks were received from 8 experts within the determined period. In this research, it is determined that for a minimum-cost MOOC platform, Certification and Accreditation, Software Service and Content Licensing, Career and Recruitment Services are the most applicable and sustainable business models.
