Türkiye'de cinsiyetler arası ücret farkı

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Oaxaca-Blinder ayrıştırma yöntemi kullanılarak 2004-2019 arası tüm yıllar ve her bir İBBS2 bölgesi için kadınların ve erkelerin ortalama ücretleri arasındaki fark ve bu farkın açıklanamayan kısmı (kadınların ve erkeklerin beşerî sermayelerindeki farklar ve yaptıkları işlerle ilgili özelliklerdeki farklar ile açıklanamayan kısmı) tahmin edilmiştir. Daha sonra, bölgesel işsizlik oranlarının kadın-erkek ortalama ücret farkı ve açıklanamayan ücret farkı üzerindeki etkisi panel veri analiz yöntemleri kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Bölgesel işsizlik oranlarının kadın-erkek ortalama ücret farkı üzerinde pozitif ve istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir etkiye sahip olduğu, açıklanamayan ücret farkı üzerinde ise istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir etkisinin olmadığı tespit edilmiştir.

In this study, for the period 2004-2019 and for each NUTS2 region, the difference between the average wages of women and men, and the unexplained part of this difference (the part that cannot be explained by the differences in the human capital of men and women and the characteristics of their jobs) are estimated by using Oaxaca-Blinder decomposition method. Later, by using panel data analysis methods the effects of regional unemployment rates on the male-female average wage difference and the unexplained wage difference are estimated. The results show that the regional unemployment rates have a positive and statistically significant effect on the average wage difference but have no statistically significant effect on the unexplained wage difference.
