Bilim ve sanat merkezleri yöneticilerinin müzik yetenek alanındaki öğrencilerin eğitimine yönelik görüşlerinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Uzun yıllardır ihmal edilmiş bir konu olan üstün yetenekli çocukların eğitimi, Bilim ve Sanat Merkezlerinde verilen destek eğitimleri ile sürdürülmektedir. Genel yetenek ve sanatsal yetenek olmak üzere iki kategoride devam eden destek eğitimlerinin kalitesinin artırılması ve geliştirilmesi için, mevcut durumun aksayan taraflarını belirlemek gerekmektedir. Bu araştırmada, BİLSEM kurum müdürlerinin görüşlerinin alınmasına ve özellikle de müzik alanı eğitiminde yaşanan sorunların belirlenmesi ve bu sorunların çözümünde yöneticilerin alacakları inisiyatif ve planlamaların tespiti amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla tezde nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden gerçekçi etnografya deseni tercih edilmiştir. Her biri farklı il ve bölgelerde bulunan 10 Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi yöneticisinin katıldığı araştırmada, katılımcılara 10 soru sorulmuştur. Yöneticilerle yapılan görüşmelerin analizleri yapılarak "müzik eğitimi", "öğretmen yeterlilikleri", "eğitim sürecinin etkililiği", "eğitimin önemi", "tanılama" ve "geliştirici çalışmalar" olmak üzere 6 tema başlığında toplanmıştır. Yöneticilere göre BİLSEM müzik eğitimleri, üstün yetenekli öğrencilere yetersiz kalmaktadır ve BİLSEM kurum amaç ve felsefesine uygun şekilde bir eğitim verilmediğinden, kurumların müzik eğitimi için uygun fiziksel ortama sahip olmadığından, çocukların yeteneklerini geliştirmek ve disiplinler arası bir bakışa sahip etkinlikler yapılamadığını; öğretmenlerin de yetersiz kaldığı, çocuklar için sadece bir müzik kursu gibi algılandığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Bu sonuçlara göre BİLSEM'lerin müzik eğitimi alanında standart bir programın yer alması, belirlenmiş hedeflerin ve ölçülebilir kazanımların tüm yurt genelindeki merkezlerde uygulanmasının doğru olacağı önerilmiştir.

The education of gifted children, which has been neglected for many years, continues with the support trainings given in Science and Art Centers. In order to increase and improve the quality of ongoing support training in two categories, general talent and artistic talent, it is necessary to identify the failing sides of the current situation. In this research, it is aimed to get the opinions of BİLSEM institution directors and to determine the problems experienced especially in music education and to determine the initiatives and plans that the administrators will take in solving these problems. For this purpose, realistic ethnography design, one of the qualitative research methods, was preferred in the thesis. 10 questions were asked to the participants in the research, in which 10 Science and Art Center managers, each located in different provinces and regions, participated. The interviews with the administrators were analyzed and gathered under 6 themes: "music education", "teacher competencies", "effectiveness of the education process", "importance of education", "diagnosis" and "developmental studies". According to the administrators, BİLSEM music education is insufficient for gifted students and since BİLSEM does not provide an education in accordance with the purpose and philosophy of the institution, the institutions do not have the appropriate physical environment for music education, and activities with an interdisciplinary perspective cannot be carried out to develop the talents of children; It has been concluded that teachers are also inadequate and it is perceived as just a music course for children. According to these results, it was suggested that BİLSEMs should have a standard program in the field of music education and that the determined targets and measurable achievements should be implemented in centers all over the country.
