Cumhuriyet'in 100 yılında eğitim felsefesi alanındaki Türk düşünürlerin odağı ve etkisi Egemen, Ülken ve Topçu'nun eğitim görüşleri

Abstract

Cumhuriyet'in 100 yılında, hangi düşünce insanlarının eğitim felsefesi alanına odaklandıkları, hangi görüşleri savundukları, ileri sürdükleri görüşlerin kaynakları, bu görüşlerin Cumhuriyet'in ilkeleri ve hedefleri ile uyumu, Cumhuriyet'in idealize ettiği eğitim anlayışı ve politikalarına etkilerinin analizi, üzerinde çalışılması gereken bir alandır. Bu araştırmanın konusu, Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nde felsefe eğitimi almış ve eğitim felsefesi alanında eserler vererek, milli bir eğitim felsefesi oluşturma çabasına girmiş kişilerin belirlenmesi ve eğitimin felsefine ilişkin görüşlerinin incelenmesidir. Bu kapsamda 40 yazarın 50 eseri tespit edilmiş, araştırma ölçütlerine uygun olan Hilmi Ziya Ülken, Bedi Ziya Egemen ve Nurettin Topçu'nun görüşleri incelenmiştir. Araştırma nitel yaklaşımla desenlenmiştir. Çalışma grubunu oluşturan yazar bilgileri ve eserler belge inceleme yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. Araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen 5 maddelik bir veri toplama aracı ile yazar ve eserlere ilişkin veriler, yazarların kendi eserleri ile yazarlara ve eserlerine ilişkin biyografiler ve incelemelerden toplanmıştır. Veriler, içerik analizi yoluyla analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda Egemen, Ülken ve Topçu'nun (1) eğitim felsefesi alanındaki uzmanlıklarının kaynağı, (2) eğitim felsefesi alanında verdikleri eserler, (3) eğitime dair görüşleri, (4) etkilendikleri ve etkiledikleri kişi/kişiler ve fikir akımları ile (5) eğitim görüşlerinin Türk eğitim felsefesine etkileri ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Cumhuriyet dönemi boyunca Batı kaynaklı eğitim felsefelerinin ithal edildiği ancak felsefi bir geleneğin oluşmaması nedeniyle ithal edilen düşünüşlerin yerelleştirilemediği; dönemsel siyasal erklerin popülist politikaları sebebiyle bu yazarların ve düşüncelerinin yeterli ilgiyi görmedikleri tespit edilmiştir. Bu durum eğitim politikalarının felsefi bir dayanaktan ziyade popülist politikalar eşliğinde değişime uğradığını; bu sebeple kalıcı bir eğitim politikasının oluşturulamadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

In the 100 years of the Republic, which thinkers focused on the philosophy of education, which views they advocated, the sources of the views they put forward, the compatibility of these views with the principles and goals of the Republic, and the analysis of their effects on the idealised educational understanding and policies of the Republic is an area that needs to be studied. The subject of this study is to identify the people who have studied philosophy in the Republic of Turkey and who have endeavoured to create a national philosophy of education by giving works in the field of philosophy of education and to examine their views on the philosophy of education. In this context, 50 works of 40 authors were identified, and the views of Hilmi Ziya Ülken, Bedi Ziya Egemen and Nurettin Topçu, who are suitable for the research criteria, were analysed. The research was designed with a qualitative approach. The author information and the works that constitute the study group were collected by document review method. With a 5-item data collection tool developed by the researcher, data on authors and works were collected from the authors' own works, biographies and reviews of the authors and their works. The data were analysed through content analysis. As a result of the research, Egemen, Ülken and Topçu's (1) the source of their expertise in the field of philosophy of education, (2) their works in the field of philosophy of education, (3) their views on education, (4) the people/persons and intellectual movements they influenced and were influenced by, and (5) the effects of their educational views on Turkish philosophy of education were revealed. During the Republican period, Western philosophies of education were imported, but imported ideas could not be localised due to the lack of a philosophical tradition; It has been determined that these authors and their ideas did not receive sufficient attention due to the populist policies of the political powers of the period. It has been concluded that education policies have changed in line with populist policies rather than a philosophical basis; therefore, a permanent education policy could not be established.
