Sivil Toplum Örgütlerinde Kadın Liderin Rolü

Abstract

Bu tezde, kadın liderlerin sivil toplum örgütlerindeki liderlik yetenekleri ve yönetim rolleri incelenmiş, bu bağlamda kadınların karşılaştığı toplumsal cinsiyet temelli önyargılar ve kültürel normlardan kaynaklanan sorunlar detaylı bir şekilde ele alınmıştır. İlk bölümde liderlik ve yönetim kavramlarının teorik temelleri üzerinde durulmuş, genel liderlik kuramları ve modelleri ışığında kadın liderliğine dair bir perspektif geliştirilmiştir. Kadınların liderlik süreçlerinde karşılaştıkları zorluklar ve bu zorluklarla başa çıkma stratejileri araştırmanın ana odağını oluşturmuştur. Tezdeki veriler, 6 farklı yerel sivil toplum kuruluşu ile yapılan görüşmelerden elde edilmiştir. Bu görüşmelerde, kadın liderlerin karşılaştıkları engeller, bu engelleri aşma süreçleri ve kadınların liderlik rollerindeki deneyimlerine dair bilgiler toplanmıştır. Ulusal ve uluslararası literatürden elde edilen bulgularla paralel olarak, yerel sivil toplum örgütlerinde kadın liderlerin karşılaştığı zorluklar ve bu zorluklara karşı geliştirdikleri stratejiler analiz edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda, Türkiye'deki kadın liderlerin durumuna dair karşılaşılan spesifik engeller ve bu engellerin üstesinden gelme noktasında atılabilecek adımlar önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Görüşmelerden elde edilen bulgular, Türkiye'deki sivil toplum örgütlerinde kadın liderlerin rolü ve toplumsal değişim yaratma potansiyellerine dair değerli veriler sunmaktadır. March, 2025 This thesis examines the leadership abilities and management roles of woman leaders in civil society organizations, focusing on the gender-based prejudices and cultural norms they face. The first section discusses the theoretical foundations of leadership and management, developing a perspective on female leadership through general leadership theories and models. The challenges faced by women in leadership processes and the strategies they employ to overcome these challenges form the core focus of the research. In this context, the roles of psychological resilience, self-perception, and emotional intelligence in response to societal and organizational pressures are emphasized. The data in the thesis are based on findings from interviews with six different local civil society organizations. These interviews provide valuable insights into the obstacles faced by female leaders, their strategies for overcoming these barriers, and their experiences in leadership roles. The interviews also highlight the impact of these women in terms of empowerment and promoting gender equality. The importance of building a strong solidarity network and efforts to empower other women in civil society organizations is emphasized in the findings. In parallel with the findings from national and international literature, the challenges faced by female leaders in local civil society organizations and the strategies they develop to address these challenges have been analyzed. In this context, the specific barriers encountered by female leaders in Turkey and the steps that can be taken to overcome these obstacles play a significant role. The findings from the interviews provide valuable data on the role of female leaders in Turkish civil society organizations and their potential to create societal change.
