Yaygın sanat eğitimi veren bir sivil toplum kuruluşunun yönetim ve organizasyon özelliklerinin incelenmesi: Emin Ongan Üsküdar Musiki Cemiyeti

Abstract

Bu araştırmada; İstanbul ili, Üsküdar ilçesinde Türk müziği eğitimi hizmeti veren bir sivil toplum kuruluşunun yöneticilerinin, eğitmenlerinin, müzik eğitiminden faydalanan öğrencilerinin (kursiyer), gönüllülerinin ve sazendelerinin görüşleri doğrultusunda derneğin niteliği, misyonu, topluma etkileri, faaliyetleri ve yönetim ve organizasyon yapısı incelenmiştir. Araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması deseni ile yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada amaçlı örneklem yöntemi kullanılmış, örneklem grubunun belirlenmesinde maksimum çeşitlilik örneklem yöntemi tercih edilmiştir. Nitel verilerin içerik analizleri sonucunda elde edilen bulgular bir STK olarak EOÜMC, bir eğitim kurumu olarak EOÜMC, derneğin örgüt yapısı, insan kaynağı, politikaları ve kültürü olmak üzere altı tema altında toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda EOÜMC'nin yasal adııyla bir dernek olduğu, yaygın eğitim kurumu olarak işlev gördüğü, basit yapılı, yarı açık, özerk ve klan kültürüne sahip bir örgüt olduğu bulunmuştur. EOÜMC'nin yüz yılı aşkın süredir misyonuna bağlılığı ile varlığını ve faaliyetlerini sürdürdüğü, devamlılığının temel unsurunun kendi oluşturduğu kurum kültürü ve sahip olduğu yapı olduğu katılımcıların görüşlerinden çıkan sonuçlarla açıkça belirlenmiştir. Misyonunu sürdürebilmek için oluşturduğu yapıyı ve kültürü güçlendirerek devam ettirmesi önerilmektedir.

In this study; the nature, mission, effects on the society, activities and management and organizational structure of the association were examined in line with the opinions of the managers, trainers, students (trainees), volunteers and instrumentalists of a non-governmental organization providing Turkish music education services in the province of Istanbul, Üsküdar. The research was carried out with the case study pattern, which is one of the qualitative research methods. Purposive sampling method was used in the research, and maximum diversity sampling method was preferred in determining the sample group. The findings obtained as a result of the content analysis of the qualitative data were gathered under six themes: EOUMC as an NGO, EOUMC as an educational institution, the organization's organizational structure, human resources, policies and culture. As a result of the research, it was found that EOUMC is an association with its legal name, functions as a non-formal education institution, is an organization with a simple structure, semi-open, autonomous and clan culture. It has been clearly determined by the results of the participants' opinions that EOUMC has continued its existence and activities with its commitment to its mission for more than a century, and that the basic element of its continuity is the corporate culture and structure it has created. In order to sustain its mission, it is suggested that it continues by strengthening the structure and culture it has created.
