Frege ve Kripke'nin felsefesinde adlandırmanın ontolojik tahlili

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Frege ve Kripke'nin adlandırma üzerine geliştirdiği düşüncenin ontolojik kökeni ve bu kökenin eleştirisini konu edinmektedir. Bu sebeple, öncelikle Kant'ın transandantal felsefesi, tecrübenin ve nesnenin kuruluşu açısından ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde, Kant'ın nesnenin bireysel bütünlüğünün kurulması için gerekli olan aklın kurucu fiilini ihmal ettiğini öne sürüldü. Nesneyi farklı cihetlerden idrak etmeyi sağlayan kategori kümesinin aynı bütünlüğe ait kılınması için aklın kurucu bir işlevi olması gerektiği ifade edildi. Kant'ın transandantal felsefesinin bu ihmali, kendini dil felsefesindeki adlandırma tartışmalarında göstermektedir. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde, Kant'ın aklın kurucu işlevini ihmal etmesinin Fregeci anlam kuramıyla ilişkisine dikkat çekildi. Bu minvalde, Kant'ın transandantal felsefesinin Frege'nin anlam-gönderim ayrımında etkili olduğu belirtildi. Bu doğrultuda Frege, özel adların doğrudan değil, belirli betimlemelerle ifade edilen anlamları vasıtasıyla gönderimde bulunduklarını öne sürmüştür. Somut nesnelere gönderimde bulunan özel adlar söz konusu olduğunda, Fregeci betimleme teorisinin yol açtığı problemler ortaya koyuldu. Üçüncü bölümde, Kripke'nin modal, semantik ve epistemolojik argümanlarla Fregeci betimleme teorilerini eleştirdiğini ve özel adların, belirli betimlemelerle ifade edilen kavramsal içeriğe ihtiyacı olmadan, doğrudan gönderimde bulundukları ifade edildi. Bu açıdan, özel adların aklın kurucu fiiliyle ortaya çıkan bireysel bütünlüğü olan nesneyi adlandırdığı öne sürüldü.

This study deals with the ontological origin of Frege and Kripke's thought on naming and the criticism of this origin. For this reason, firstly, Kant's transcendental philosophy was discussed in terms of the constitution of experience and object. In the first part of the study, it was argued that Kant neglected the constitutive activity of reason, which is necessary for the constitution of the individual unity of the object. It was stated that the reason must have a constitutive function in order to make set of categories that enable to comprehend the object from different aspect, belong to the same unity. This neglect of Kant's transcendental philosophy shows itself in the naming debates in the philosophy of language. In the second part of the study, it was pointed out that the relationship between Kant's neglect of the constitutive function of the reason and the Fregean theory of sense. In this respect, it was stated that Kant's transcendental philosophy was influential in Frege's distinction between sense and reference. Accordingly, Frege argued that proper names refer not directly, but through their senses, which are expressed in definite descriptions. In the case of proper names referring to concrete objects, the problems caused by the Fregean descriptive theory were exhibited. In the third chapter, it was stated that Kripke criticizes the Fregean description theories with modal, semantic and epistemological arguments, and that proper names refer directly without the need for conceptual content expressed by definite descriptions. In this respect, it has been suggested that proper names name the individual unity of object that emerges with the constitutive activity of the reason.
