Did the Century of Tu?rkiye Education Model and the National Education Academy bring the end of faculties of ducation?

Abstract

This editorial is based on the main assumption that the Century of Tu?rkiye Education Model (TYMM) and the National Education Academy (MEA) have rendered faculties of education functionally obsolete. The implementation of MEA and TYMM has severely undermined the exclusive role of faculties of education in teacher training and weakened their place within the higher education system. The study discusses this transformation in terms of pedagogical formation, teacher demand, and academic competence. It also explores the ideological, political, and structural motivations behind TYMM and MEA. The conclusion suggests that faculties of education, in their current form, cannot survive and must either transform fundamentally or be excluded from the system.

Bu makale, Tu?rkiye Yu?zyılı Maarif Modeli (TYMM) ve Millî Eğitim Akademisi (MEA) ile birlikte eğitim faku?ltelerinin işlevlerinin sona erdiği yönu?ndeki temel varsayımdan hareket etmektedir. MEA’nın kurulması ve TYMM’nin uygulanması, eğitim faku?ltelerinin öğretmen yetiştirmedeki tekelini ve yu?kseköğretim sistemindeki konumunu ciddi biçimde sarsmıştır. Yazıda bu dönu?şu?mu?n pedagojik formasyon, öğretmen ihtiyacı, akademik yeterlilik gibi çeşitli boyutları ele alınmakta; TYMM ve MEA’nın arkasındaki ideolojik, politik ve yapısal motivasyonlar irdelenmektedir. Sonuç olarak eğitim faku?ltelerinin mevcut haliyle su?rdu?ru?lebilir olmadığı, dönu?şmeleri veya sistem dışında kalmaları gerektiği ileri su?ru?lmektedir.
