Ethos-Pathos diyalektiğinde Yahya Kemal, Ahmet Haşim, Mehmet Akif ve Nazım Hikmet şiiri üzerine bir inceleme

Abstract

Bu çalışmada modern Türk şiiri ethos, pathos ve logos üçlemesi ile değerlendirilerek retorik ve edebiyat arasındaki bağlam oturtulmaya çalışılmıştır. Retoriğin üç temel unsuru olan ethos, pathos ve logos ile modern Türk şiirindeki poetik kırılmaların özdeşleştirmesi, modern Türk şiirine yeni bir perspektif kazandırmaktadır. Tezin amacı İsmet Özel'in kurmuş olduğu analojiyi akademik irdelemeye giderek edebiyatta ethos-pathos diyalektiğinin nasıl yansıdığına ilişkin çıkarımlarda bulunmaktır. Bununla birlikte konu ile ilgili bir temel çalışma ortaya çıkararak kurulan bu analojiyi somutlaştırmaktır. Tezin bir diğer amacı ise modern Türk şiirindeki ethos-pathos kanadını oluşturan şairlerden Yahya Kemal, Ahmet Haşim, Mehmet Akif ve Nazım Hikmet'in poetikalarından ve şiirlerinden hareketle ethos-pathosun şairlerin şiir ve poetikalarına nasıl sirayet ettiğini örneklemektir. Böylece, ethos pathos diyalektiğinin kaynağı anlamlandırılarak bu konuya ilişkin çalışmaların önü açılabilecektir.

In this study, the context between rhetoric and literature was tried to be established by evaluating modern Turkish poetry with the ethos, pathos and logos trilogy. The identification of ethos, pathos and logos, which are the three basic elements of rhetoric, with poetic breaks in modern Turkish poetry, brings a new perspective to modern Turkish poetry. The aim of the thesis is to academically analyze the analogy established by İsmet Özel and make inferences about how the ethos-pathos dialectic is reflected in literature. In addition, it aims to concretize this analogy by creating a basic study on the subject. However, another aim of the thesis is to exemplify how ethos-pathos spreads to the poetry and poetics of poets, based on the poetics and poems of Yahya Kemal, Ahmet Haşim, Mehmet Akif and Nazım Hikmet, who constitute the ethos-pathos wing of modern Turkish poetry. Thus, by making sense of the source of the analogy established by İsmet Özel, the way for studies on this subject can be paved.
