Bir Rüya’nın Peşinde: Bir Ben-Anlatısı Olarak Şehzade Korkud’un Vesîletü’l-ahbâb’ı

Abstract

Şehzade Korkud (ö. 919/1513) gerekçe gösterdiği bir rüyanın peşinden hac gayesiyle Mısır macerasına atılmıştır. Bu meceranın bize bıraktığı güzel bir ben-anlatısı hediyesi olan Vesîletü’l-ahbâb bu süreci bizzat Korkud’un kendi kaleminden anlattığı özel bir kitaptır/mektup. Eserin tarih ve siyaset cihetiyle işlenişi ve dahi Şehzade Korkud’un Mısır’a geçiş sürecini detaylıca işleyen birçok çalışma yapılmıştır. Dolayısıyla makalemizde bu yönüyle Şehzade Korkud’u ve eserini ele almayacak, Vesîletü’l-ahbâb özelinde onun ben-anlatılarını işlemeye çalışacağız. Bu bağlamda çalışmamız paralelinde Korkud ve bu eseri üzerine yapılan çalışmalara, Korkud’un kısa biyografisine, onun diğer eserlerinde veya ona ait metinlerde geçen ben anlatılarına, Vesîletü’l-ahbâb’ın literatürdeki yerine, tek nüshasının kısa tanıtımına, eserin genel içeriğine, ben-anlatıları yönüyle konumu ve literatürdeki yerine, Şehzade Korkud’un Vesîletü’l-ahbâb’ındaki ben-anlatılarının tercümelerine ve son olarak Mısır dönüşü ben-anlatılarına değinilmiştir.

Prince Korkud (d. 919/1513) embarked on an adventure to Egypt with the intention of pilgrimage following a dream he cited as his reason. Wasîlat al-ahb?b, an exquisite ego-document bestowed upon us by this expedition, stands as a special book/letter wherein Korkud personally recounts the intricacies of this journey in his own words. Numerous studies have been conducted on the historical and political aspects of the work, as well as the detailed exploration of Prince Korkud's transition to Egypt. Therefore, in this article, I attempt to delve into ego-documents within "Vesîletü’l-ahbâb" and not focus primarily on Prince Korkud and his work in this particular aspect. In the context of our study, I address various aspects, including biographical information about Korkud, existing studies on Korkud and his work, exploration of ego-documents in Korkud's other writings or texts associated with him, and the role of "Vesîletü’l-ahbâb" in literature. Additionally, I provide a concise introduction to the singular copy of the work and an overview of its general content. Furthermore, I delve into the significance of Korkud's ego-documents within "Vesîletü’l-ahbâb," translations of Prince Korkud's ego-documents in the "Vesîletü’l-ahbâb," and finally, an examination of ego-documents related to his return from Egypt.
