Abstract

This study, which examines the policies and services directed at the youth population in Türkiye over the past two decades, offers interpretations of the concept of youth. It also provides information about the characteristics of the young population in both Türkiye and the Ottoman Empire. Youth-related policies and services are discussed within the framework of relevant institutions, particularly universities, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Ministry of Family and Social Services. The study presents proposals that go beyond the policies implemented over the past twenty years and that are still ongoing. It emphasizes the importance of active youth participation in policy-making processes and service provision.
