Özet
A cross-sectional survey of 363 consumers in May 2024 assessed dietary diversity (DD), perceived changes in food group diversity, and DD change scores in T & uuml;rkiye, when the annual food inflation was 70.14%. Consumer groups reported increases, decreases, or no change for each food group. Results showed that animal-based proteins, nuts, and seeds, and fruits had the highest decreases, while cereals, vegetables, and legumes had the greatest increases. The moderately or severely food insecure group reported significantly higher DD change scores than the food secure group (p < .001). Inflation is associated with varying perceptions of DD change across food groups.
