dc.description.abstractEvidence obtained from analyzing the relationship between unemployment and economic growth is an important data source for generating economic policies. The purpose of this study is to investigate the validity of Okun's law, which emphasize the relationship between unemployment and economic growth, for Turkish economy. In order to examine the relationship in question, the data of the 1923-2015 period is used and multiple-structural breaks tests and partial regression analysis is performed. The findings obtained from the analysis stated that Okun's Law is valid in Turkey after 1990s.
