Cemaatten darbeci bir örgüte dönüşüm: Gülen hareketinin analizi

Abstract

15 Temmuz 2016'da yaşanan darbe girişimi, bir anda gerçekleşmiş bir olay değildir. 1970'lerden itibaren yaşanan dinî, kültürel, siyasî, ekonomik, sosyal birtakım süreçlerin sonucudur. Bu süreçleri, örgüt lideri Fethullah Gülen'in zihniyeti, dinî anlayışı, yarattığı toplum ve cemaat kültünden bağımsız ele almak, darbe girişiminin nedenlerini eksiksiz analiz edebilmek için yetersiz kalacaktır. Tezde, darbe girişiminin faili olduğu kabul edilen Gülen Hareketi'nin, dinî bir cemaatten darbeci bir örgüte nasıl evrildiği incelenmektedir. Dinî bir cemaat ya da sivil bir hizmet hareketi olarak gösterilen Gülen Hareketi'nde başından beri, lider kültü, mesiyanik bir inanç sistemi, takıyye kültürü, sembolik ve çift anlamlı söylemlere dayalı ezoterik bir ruh, eleştirel düşünceye kapalı hiyerarşik bir sistem hâkimdir. Bu etnosentrik ve hikmeti kendinden menkul bir cemaat lideri portresinin söylemleri üzerinden ideolojileri, inançları ve hedefleri üzerine yapılacak çözümlemeler, Cemaatin nasıl darbeci bir örgüte dönüştüğünü anlamak ve anlamlandırmak bakımından önemlidir. Tezde öncelikle cemaat, terörizm, darbe kavramları ele alınmakta, sonra Gülen'in yaşam öyküsü, kişisel özellikleri, Cemaat'in tarihsel serüvenine değinilmektedir. Son olarak, Cemaat'i terör örgütü hâline getiren nedenlerin çözümlemesi yapılmaktadır.

The coup attempt on July 15, 2016 is an event that occured in a process. It is the result of a number of religious, cultural, political, economic, social processes which have been experienced since 1970s. Adressing these processes independent from organization leader Fethullah Gülen's mindset, religious understanding, society and community cult that he created, will be unsifficient to accurately analiyze the causes of the coup attempt. The thesis examines how the Gülen movement, which is considered to be perpetrator of the coup attempt, evolved from a religious community to a coup organization. Since the beginning, the Gülen movement, which is shown as a religious community or a civil service movement, has been dominated by a leader cult, a mesanic belief system, the culture of takıyye, an esoterik spirit based on symbolic and double meaning discourse and hierarchical system is closed to critical thought. The analysis of the ideologies and goals through the discourse of this ethnocentric and wise self-contained community leader is important for understanding how The Community transformed into a coup organization. In this thesis, firstly, the concepts of community, terrorism and coup; then the life story of Gülen, his personel characteristics and the history of The Community are discussed. Finally, the reasons that maket he community a terrorist organization are analyzed.
