Özet

Innovative sensing technologies are becoming more and more necessary in many areas of civil engineering. A non-intrusive inspection of the materials under inquiry is possible thanks to one of the most cutting-edge sensing technologies, ground-penetrating radar (GPR). GPR has been extensively applied in a variety of subsurface imaging applications, including assessing pavement-concrete structures, underground utilities, hazardous waste, liquid contaminants, buried archeological sites, and geological interfaces (fractures, bedding planes). This article explores in depth the recent development regarding GPR technology applications within the fields of civil engineering. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd.
