Modern Toplumda Taziye Geleneğinin Değişimi

Abstract

Toplumlar ve içerdiği ritüeller zamanla değişir. Her toplumsal kurum değişime uğradığı için varlığını sürdürmektedir. Taziye geleneği acının ve üzüntünün hafifletilmesi için ölüm karşısında gerçekleştirilen toplumsal bir davranıştır. Taziye geleneği bireyin sahip olduğu acıyı toplumsala yayma amacı taşımaktadır. Toplum ürünü olan tüm davranış ve tutumların değiştiği gibi taziye geleneği de günümüzde değişime uğramıştır. Geleneksel toplum yapısı ile modern toplum yapısı içindeki taziye geleneği farklılıklar göstermektedir. Bu çalışma toplumsal değişme ve ölüm sosyolojisi bağlamında taziye geleneğini ele almaktadır.

Societies and the rituals they involve change over time. Every social institution continues to exist because it has undergone change. Condolence tradition is a social behavior performed in the face of death to alleviate pain and sadness. The tradition of condolence aims to spread the pain of the individual to the society. As all the behaviors and attitudes that are products of society have changed, the tradition of condolence has also changed today. The tradition of condolence in the traditional society structure and the modern society structure show differences. This study deals with the tradition of condolence in the context of social change and sociology of death.
