Nazım Hikmet Culture and Arts Foundation Tarık Akan Meetings IV: Enlightenment.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the work titled 'Tar & imath;k Akan Meetings 4: Enlightenment'. This work comprises the papers presented at the fourth Tar & imath;k Akan Meetings, organised by the N & acirc;z & imath;m Hikmet Culture and Art Foundation. This work, containing thirteen chapters, examines the social, political, scientific, cultural, and legal aspects of Enlightenment philosophy through a multidisciplinary lens. In addition, the reflections of Enlightenment thought on information institutions, particularly in the context of library transformation, are evaluated, and the role of information in social progress is explored. In these regards, the study offers a critical and holistic perspective on the reflections of Enlightenment thought today.
