TÜRKİYE’DE ÖĞRETMENLERİN 21. YÜZYIL BECERİLERİ KONUSUNDA YAYIMLANAN LİSANSÜSTÜ TEZLERİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

21. yüzyıl becerileri, insanların hem günümüz hem de gelecekteki yaşamlarını etkileyen önemli başat becerileri ifade etmektedir. Çağı yakalamak ve hatta ilerisine gitmek için yeni yüzyıl becerilerine sahip öğrenciler, eğitim öğretimde yenilikçi ve donanımlı öğretmenler, değişime açık dinamizme sahip bir müfredat ve süreci yönetebilen, 21. yüzyıl becerileri taşıyan öğretmenlere ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Bu çerçevede, araştırmada ülkemiz eğitim sistemi içinde 21. yüzyıl becerilerinin gelişimi hususunda; “Öğretmenler ve 21. yüzyıl becerileri” konusu ile ilgili yayımlanan lisansüstü tezlerin incelenmesi amaçlanarak, “Türk eğitim sisteminde ‘Öğretmenlerin 21. yüzyıl becerileri’ konusunda yayımlanan lisansüstü tezlerin incelenmesi neticesinde bu alandaki eğilim nasıldır?” ana sorusunun cevabı aranmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman incelemesi yöntemi tercih edilmiştir. 21. yüzyıl becerilerinin öğretmen bağlamında incelenmesi için YÖK Ulusal Veri Tez Tabanı kullanılarak veriler toplanmıştır. Araştırma sonucu elde edilen bulgulara göre öğretmen ve 21. yüzyıl becerileri üzerine yapılan lisansüstü tez çalışmalardan; 13’ünün yüksek lisans, 6’sının doktora tezi olduğu görülmüştür. Ulaşılan tezlerin pek çok üniversite ve anabilim dallarına bağlı olarak yayınlandığı tespit edilmiştir. Yayınlanma tarihleri 2018-2023 yılları arasında olmakla birlikte özellikle 2022 ve 2023 yıllarında araştırmaların yoğunlaştığı görülmüştür. Bulgulara dayalı önerilere yer verilmiştir.

21st century skills refer to important dominant skills that affect people's lives both today and in the future. Along with the student and curriculum studies, teachers need to have 21st century characteristics in order to be able to carry out the new system and guide the new student profile effectively. In order to catch up with the age and even go beyond it, there is a need for students with 21st century skills, innovative and well-equipped teachers in education, a dynamic curriculum that is open to change, and teachers with 21st century skills who can manage the process. In this framework, this study aims to examine the postgraduate theses published on the subject of "Teachers and 21st century skills" regarding the development of 21st century skills in the education system of our country. Within the scope of this purpose, the answer to the main question "How is the trend in this field as a result of the examination of postgraduate theses published on 'Teachers' 21st century skills' in the Turkish education system?" was sought. Document analysis method, one of the qualitative research methods, was preferred in the study. In order to examine 21st century skills in the context of teachers, data were collected using YÖK Ulusal Veri Tez Tabanı. According to the findings obtained as a result of the research, it was seen that 13 of the postgraduate thesis studies on teachers and 21st century skills were master's theses and 6 of them were doctoral theses. It was determined that the theses were published in many universities and departments. Although the publication dates were between 2018 and 2023, it was observed that the researches were concentrated especially in 2022 and 2023. Suggestions based on the findings are included.
