Fotoğraf ve Nöroestetik Disiplin

Abstract

Fotoğraf, yaşamda var olan her şeyi görünür kılmaktadır. İnsanın duygu ve düşüncelerini ifade etmesini kolaylaştıran en güçlü göstergelerdir. Etkili birer uyaran olarak alıcının duygu, düşünce ve eylemlerinin harekete geçmesine, iletişim kurabilmesine, geçmişi hatırlaması ve gerçeği görmesine katkı sağlamaktadır. Görünenin ötesinde anlamları barındıran fotoğraflar, alıcı tarafından keşfedilerek okunmayı beklemektedirler. Fotoğraf kompozisyonunun oluşturulması ve sonrasında fotoğrafın okunması ve anlamlandırılmasında beynin işlevinin ve görsel beynin uzmanlaşmış olan alanlarının, algı ve etkisinin ne/neler olabileceği sorusu çalışmanın problemini oluşturmaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışmada fotoğraf ve nöroestetik disiplin arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu temel amaç kapsamında çalışmanın alt amacı, yeni fotoğraf okuma tekniklerinin geliştirilebilmesine yönelik farklı bir bakış açısı getirebilmektir. Çalışmada problemin önemini vurgulamak ve bulgularının önceki bilgiyle ilişkilendirilebilmesini sağlayabilmek için nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden birisi olan doküman incelemesi (alanyazın) yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Fotoğraf kompozisyonun oluşturulmasında önemli olan yapısal ve görsel öğelerin bilgisine sahip olunması, bu öğelerin yeterli ölçüde, gerekli yerlerde kullanılmasıyla birlikte, görsel beynin işlevinin ve uzmanlaşmış alanlarının sanatçı tarafından biliniyor olması daha yaratıcı eserlerin oluşturulmasını sağlayacaktır. Alıcı tarafından fotoğraf dilinin bilinmesi, görsel beynin uzmanlaşmış alanlarının da sağlıklı işleyişi, sunulan eserin tam bir okumasının yapılabilmesini mümkün kılmakta, bu doğrultuda alıcı, eser karşısında anlam üreterek süreçte aktif olarak rol almakta ve estetik bir deneyim yaşayabilmektedir.

Photography makes visible everything that exists in life. They are the most powerful indicators that make it easier for people to express their feelings and thoughts. As an effective stimulus, it contributes to the activation of the feelings, thoughts, and actions of the receiver to communicate, remember the past, and see the truth. Photographs, which contain meanings beyond what is visible, are waiting to be discovered and read by the buyer. The problem of the study is the question of the perception and effect of the function of the brain and the specialized areas of the visual brain in the creation of the photographic composition and then in the reading and interpretation of the photograph. The study examines the relationship between photography and neuroaesthetic discipline in this context. Within the scope of this primary purpose, the sub-purpose of the study is to bring a different perspective to the development of new photography reading techniques. In the study, the document review (literature) method, one of the qualitative research methods, was used to emphasize the importance of the problem and ensure that the findings can be associated with previous knowledge. Knowing the structural and visual elements that are important in the creation of photographic composition, using these elements adequately and where necessary, and knowing the function and specialized areas of the visual brain by the artist will enable the creation of more creative works. The knowledge of the photographic language of the buyer and the healthy functioning of the specialized areas of the visual brain make it possible to complete the reading of the presented work. In this direction, the buyer can take an active role in the process by producing meaning in the face of the work and having an aesthetic experience.
