Statistical Analysis of Occupational Accidents in the Turkish Health Sector Between 2013 and 2019

Abstract

Prevention of occupational accidents is one of the most important goals in occupational safety, but without understanding the causes of accidents, it is extremely difficult. The analysis of statistical data on occupational accidents has great importance in taking preventive measures. Therefore, the aim of this study is to analyze the statistical information of occupational accidents officially published between 2013-2019 in throughout Turkey and in the health sector. In the study, T.C. Social Security Institution statistics and European Statistics Office data were used. In line with the data, according to the calculation criteria determined by the European Statistics Office, the accident incidence rates in the last 7 years were calculated for Turkey and the health sector. In addition, in order to determine the relationship between the data obtained throughout Turkey and the data in the health sector, correlation analysis was conducted with the SPSS program for the number of insured persons who had an occupational accident, the number of permanent incapacity due to work accidents, and the number of deaths as a result of occupational accidents. İş kazalarının önlenmesi iş güvenliğinde en önemli hedeflerden biridir ancak kazaların nedenlerini anlamadan kazaları önlemek son derece zordur. Önleyici tedbirlerin alınmasında iş kazalarına ilişkin istatistiki verilerin analizi büyük önem taşımaktadır. Bu nedenle, çalışmanın amacı Türkiye genelinde ve sağlık sektöründe 2013-2019 yılları arasında resmi olarak yayınlanan iş kazalarına ait istatiksel bilgileri analiz etmektir. Çalışmada veri kaynağı olarak T.C. Sosyal Güvenlik Kurumu istatistikleri ve Avrupa İstatistik Ofisi verileri kullanılmıştır. Veriler doğrultusunda Avrupa İstatistik Ofisi tarafından belirlenen hesaplama ölçütlere göre son 7 yıllık periyotta kaza insidans oranları hem Türkiye geneli hem de sağlık sektörü için hesaplanmıştır. Ayrıca Türkiye genelinde elde edilen veriler ile sağlık sektöründeki veriler arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek için SPSS programı ile iş kazası geçiren sigortalı sayıları, iş kazası sonucu sürekli iş göremezlik sayıları, iş kazası sonucu ölüm sayıları için korelasyon analizi yapılmıştır. Türkiye geneli iş kazası geçiren sigortalı sayıları ile sağlık sektöründe iş kazası geçiren sigortalı sayıları arasında anlamlı ve pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki (r=.961, p
