With the rapid advancement in educational technology, the integration of artificial intelligence has transformed language learning environments. However, the impact of these technologies on learning among multilingual young learners remains underexplored. This study investigates the effectiveness of integrating AI technologies in enhancing learning among multilingual young learners. Qualitative data were collected from 17 primary school students in Istanbul, Turkiye, through observations and semi- structured interviews following interactive gameplay sessions with Duolingo. Findings revealed that AI- driven language tools improve comprehension, engagement, sentence formation, pronunciation, vocabulary acquisition, and writing skills, particularly when instructions are provided in learners' native languages. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
