Özet

Idiosyncratic thermophysical and optical features are the factors compelling research community to conduct extensive research work on hybrid nanofluids. Hybrid nanofluids possess far better thermal and optical characteristics than the simple nanofluids owing to synergistic effect of different nanoparticles forming hybrid nanofluids. Brief analysis of literature reveals that hybrid nanofluids are greatly influenced by factors like basefluid, temperature, pH value, surfactant, sonication time, clustering, nanoparticle shape, size, and concentration. However, the effect of nanoparticle size and shape is inconclusive thus far. Clustering has been found to be the most adverse phenomena which makes the hybrid nanofluid features time dependent and limits their operational success and practicability. This study presents explanation of factors affecting the performance of hybrid nanofluids and underlying reasons. © 2020 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
