Benzeşen ve Ayrılan Yönleriyle Commedia Dell'arte ve Ortaoyunu

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Avrupa'nın köklü tiyatro geleneği Commedia dell’arte ile Osmanlı-Türk sahne sanatlarının özgün biçimlerinden biri olan Ortaoyununu karşılaştırmalı bir perspektiften ele almayı amaçlamaktadır. Her iki türün doğaçlama temelli yapısı, tipe dayanan oyunculuk anlayışı aralarındaki benzerlikleri ortaya koyarken; tarihsel bağlamları, toplumsal işlevleri, sahneleme biçimleri ve estetik anlayışları ise önemli farklılıklar göstermektedir. Bu makalede, söz konusu iki geleneksel tiyatro biçimi; karakter yapıları, oyun kurgusu, sahne düzeni, mizah anlayışı ve toplumsal temsilleri üzerinden incelenmiş, kültürel etkileşim ve yerellik kavramları çerçevesinde değerlendirilmiştir. Karşılaştırmalı yöntemle gerçekleştirilen bu inceleme, geleneksel tiyatro biçimlerinin birbirleriyle olan etkileşimi ve sahneleme anlayışlarını anlamaya katkı sunmayı hedeflemektedir.

The present study sets out to explore the potential parallels between two distinct yet interconnected theatre traditions: the European Commedia dell'Arte and the Ottoman-Turkish Ortaoyunu. The investigation aims to provide a comparative analysis from a critical perspective, with a focus on the unique characteristics and the historical and cultural influences that have shaped these forms of theatre. A comparison of the two types reveals notable parallels in their improvisational structures and actor training philosophies. However, significant disparities emerge when considering their historical contexts, social functions, staging methods and aesthetic sensibilities. In the present study, the two traditional theatre forms are examined through the lenses of their characters, plays, staging, humour, and societal representations. The cultural interaction and localism concepts are utilised as a framework for the analysis. This comparative analysis aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of the interaction between traditional theatre forms and their respective staging practices.
