Çağdaş epistemoloji yaklaşımlarında tarihselciliğin rolü

Abstract

Bu tez çalışmasında, Bacon'dan Aydınlanma'ya uzanan klasik yaklaşımın karşısında doğa bilimin ölçütlerini eleştiren ve onun yerine yeni bir metodoloji kurmaya çalışan XX. yüzyıl düşünürlerin bilim anlayışında tarihselciliğin rolü araştırılmaktadır. Tarihselcilik, XIX. yüzyılda, Almanya'da özellikle Wilhelm Dilthey'in tarih bilimine ilişkin yapmış olduğu çalışmalarla ortaya çıkan bir düşünce akımıdır (Cevizci, 1999, s. 897-898). Çağdaş dönemde epistemolojinin temellendirilmesinin Nikolai Hartmann, Martin Heidegger, Gaston Bachelard, Thomas Kuhn ve Karl Popper gibi bir dizi araştırmacılar tarafından nasıl yapıldığı ele alınmıştır. Dar uzmanlaşmaya karşı olup, disiplinlerarası bir tarihyazımını temsil eden Annales Okulu tarihyazımı Marc Bloch ve Lucien Febvre'nin görüşleri üzerinden incelenmiştir. XX. yüzyılda tarihte metodoloji sorununa yönelik, anti-pozitivist bir tutuma sahip olan Dilthey'den başlayarak, Yenikantçılara kadar, özellikle de Whilhelm Whindelband ve Heinrich Rickert'ın doğa ve tin diye adlandırdıkları bilimlerin sınıflandırılmasından bahsedilmiştir. Bu değişim süreci göz önünde bulundurularak, çağdaş epistemolojik yaklaşım olarak tarihselcilikten bahsetmek mümkün müdür? Bir metodoloji olarak, pozitif bilim ayırımında tarihten bahsedebilir miyiz? Sosyal ve beşeri bilimlerde, tarihin konumu nedir gibi sorulardan hareket edilerek, hermeneutik fenomenolojik yaklaşım üzerinden tarihselcilik temellendirilecektir.

In this thesis, we are trying to grasp the role of historicism in the understanding of epistemology in the late of 20th century. From Bacon to enlightenment, it has been understood that the only criterion of science based on natural sciences. The extent of science has also been determined as study according to the method of the natural sciences, therefore the sciences concerned with history and society has also determined according to method of the natural sciences. Historicism emerged in 19th century in Germany especially with Whilhelm Dilthey's work (Cevizci, 1999, s. 897-898). In this thesis we will see the basis of epistemology in the contemporary period through the works of Nikolai Hartmann, Martin Heidegger, Gaston Bachelard, Thomas Kuhn and Karl Popper. The historiography of the Annales School, which represents an interdisciplinary historiography, opposed to narrow specialization, has been explored through the views of Marc Bloch and Lucien Febvre. In the 20th century, it was started with Dilthey, who has an anti-positivist attitude towards the methodology problem in the history, and the classification of the sciences which named as nature and the cultural, especially in the work of New Kantian philosophers as Wilhelm Whindelband and Heinrich Rickert. Considering this process of change, is it possible to talk about historicism as a contemporary epistemological approach? As a methodology, can we talk about history in the separation of positive science? What is the subject of history in social and human sciences? By moving from this questions, we will try to understand the role of historicism in the contemprory philosophy on the hermeneutical phenomenological approach.
