This article examines the complex relationship between language and politics, drawing on thinkers such as Foucault, Gramsci, and Koselleck. In political theory, language is not merely a means of communication but also expresses the construction of meaning regarding political phenomena. Indeed, approaches that argue that language is not merely a communicative tool but also a field where power is produced, distributed, and questioned seek to understand modern political structures by centering on the concept of discourse. These theoretical approaches also provide a fruitful ground for understanding the transformation of political discourse in Turkey. Within the framework of approaches that address the ideological and metaphorical aspects of language in political theory, the political language of Turkish politics is analyzed in this article. Efforts have been made to discuss the linguistic changes that have taken place from the late Ottoman period to the present day. In addition, conservative, nationalist, and populist language patterns that developed in Turkish political history, especially after 1980, have been analyzed in light of the aforementioned approaches in order to understand both the construction of the subject at the discursive level and the strategies of power in shaping society. The article aims to reveal that language is not merely a representational tool but also a battlefield where power relations are reproduced and transformed.
