Özet
This study aims to analyze the effects of decimal fraction teaching supported by music and stories on fourth grade primary school students in order to assess their attitudes towards mathematics and music. For this purpose, a four-phase trail using a quasi-experimental design was carried out with fourth grade primary school students. Some of the data collection tools used, were developed by the researchers themselves while others were already existing tools. This study was carried out in two public schools during the 2015-16 academic year. Both qualitative and quantitative methods were applied in the data analysis part. As a result of the trial, it was observed that the scores in mathematics and music awareness increased in only one of the groups and that this increase was statistically significant. However, it was observed that the trial did not cause any difference in the math and music attitude scores of the experimental and control groups. According to the opinion of teachers and students, it can be claimed that the trial made the lesson more enjoyable and interesting. © 2021. All Rights Reserved.
